Query strings in Google Analytics
Hi there.
When sending out email promotions, I am able to add a query string (the recipient's email address) to any links through to my website i.e. www.mywebsite.co.uk/productpage123456@email=myemailaddress Problem is, although the Content area in GA will allow me to see any click throughs, I cannot then track them to sale. I have tried using the goals/funnels, but the above link poses a problem with the URLs in the steps. I cannot put a URL in a step because I would need to add a full URL, but the only way I can track sales from these emails is by searching for any links with www.mywebsite.co.uk/anypage@email=customeremailaddress Does someone know how I can get around this please? Thanks RB |
