No, I don't really think so... If they do add such a service and offer 1 gigabyte of free space, I bet it will be very bare-bones and primitive. On the other-hand, maybe they will add their own customer-service panel called GPanel.

They only care about the content, so I think Blogger works out well enough for them. I am certain they will continue to add features to Blogger, such that it will soon be virtually a hosting service. Blogspot already provides great hosting from Google.

i think that they should turn the 2gb of email to 1gb and 1gb of hosting now taht would be pro. but to much strain on the server/s.

Sounds interesting, I have often wondered why Google would not attempt this in the first place. It would be simple to restrict, or take 1 GB of space from our emails, and Give it to us in Google WebHosting, and to make it even easier on Google, make it only available to us Gmail ppl for now.. We will BETA test it for ya Google!! plz... lol

Uh, how about no. I don't see your blogger account in your gmail account with every post you make sitting there in your inbox. If they do such a thing it would be seperate from e-mail.

Also, if they ever planned to get into the web hosting buissness, they'd better step up customer support.

They'd better step up customer support anyway...its a nightmare!.
P.S. I think they offer over 2and a half gigabytes of memory with the thought that not many people will ever reach the full amount...if they started webhosting (maybe they could call it g-hosting) then more people would be filling up googles servers
