It's like Microsoft Office but made by Sun. And if you go to sun.com you see sun and Google TEAM UP.

After Google promotes OpenOffice, all they need is to promote Solaris and we'll kick Bill away and take him to prison. Haha, it would be great if they could do that. See Google Declares War on Microsoft.

Sure, Firefox has been successful in supplanting IE for many Windows users, but I don't think that Windows itself will be displaced any time soon...

And Solaris isn't exactly a desktop-oriented OS. It'll take a miracle for it to win our hearts.

And Bill Gates isn't exactly a bad guy, as far as I've observed. I'm atheist, Bill is atheist, so neither of us believe in the afterlife, but if there is one, I'm certain he will be placed in paradise. He has contributed more to mankind than any of you have. Most of us are just jealous and are blind to his good philantropic deeds. After all, he is a Knight commander of the order of British Empire.

Hmm, maybe in case of software, but you can't really relate it with reality. Sеx is the best thing in life, I wouldn't say it is free.

darren, on which part? Is it the one which he has cited as not free?
Eric, while I may tend to agree with you that gates brought the idea of everyone to use computers, and is also community oriented, i can not but overlook the too much commercial side of it. Of course as a business man hats off to him and as a evangelist of software kudos to him, but still i would like open source to get better of him? why?

I also found this "POSSIBLE FAKE" site to be interesting dealing with net based Google OS:

I would love this idea anyway. To be able to boot it off my pen drive and run my own crap from any Online PC.
