Google & GPS

Hello everyone. I'm new here so excuse me if I'm writing not in the right forum.

A couple of weeks ago I've purchased the new Nokia 5800 cell phone. As a phone with built in GPS I tried to find free GPS software.

After some time I did find the "amAzegps" softaware, but, unfortunately the software does not use Israel maps.

And then I thought about Google maps... I'm using Google maps for quite some time already and I'm very saticfied. The maps are accurate and up to date!

So, I was interested: does Goolge thought of designing GPS software for cell phones?

Also, I've read very little about Google maps API files. Is it legal to use the API data in third party software? (maybe this way it will be possible to implement the maps google can provide into GPS software?)

Thanks in advance.
