Actually, Google base is only going to be a craiglists. Not an ebay. Maybe down the road it may have some funtionality of ebay, but I highly doubt it will become the ebay killer.

Now that theres been a few days, I've noticed quite a bit with this Google Base.

Looks almost like it is turning for the worse.

I've noticed people like Amazon, and other big guys putting stuff on Base. With the bulk uploads, they probably have a program that uploads the XML files right to Base.

To me, this looks like free advertising for people like Amazon. How does google expect to make any money? Plus, on the side of Google Base, there is no AdWords. What prime real estate.

Also, I've noticed that people have been uploading their websites as the link instead of their Google Base page. Most of the time, they link to their index, which gives absolutely no information about what I searched for in Base. Base should give links to both, instead of just one.

Hopefully they rethink things before it grows out of control.
