Inability to upload pics. to Picassa Web Album

When trying to register into web album I get:
"Your browser's cookie functionality is turned off. Please turn it on."
I have followed the instructions on the exact subject under help many times all unsuccessfully.
Any help would be much appreciated as I have lost most of my hair over the past 4 days!!!

i use my web developer add-ons to enable and disable cookies try to install it to your browser...

Thanks for the advice. I have taken a long hard look at what you suggested but have decided I am too old or too stupid.
I think the Picassa is a great way of storing and arranging ones photos however I will take them on a memory stick when we leave for an overseas trip next month.
