List of free directories

Hi,

Does anyone have a good list of free directories to submit to?

I did have a great list of links saved in my favourites but this website is now down so I'd like to get as many of them back as possible.

Hi all,
Is it worth submitting your site to so many directories? How many hits do you get on average from all these dirs?

You probably won't get enough hits to make it worthwhile but the links will help raise your PageRank and the more inbound links you can get the better chance you have at achieving higher search ratings.

site owners submit their site to directories to increase backlinks, getting hits is just a secondary purpose..
