Does article submission really work?

Does article submission really work for you guys?
I never get any traffic from the articles I've submitted, although my articles have been downloaded/re-published quite a few times. I usually place links either in my signature or in the article itself (if the content is related to my website). Has anyone succeeded in getting traffic from article submission? Am I doing something wrong? How can I make it work?

I did this a few times, and didn't get much traffic. I think it is partly just to do with luck.

Ya article submission really works it not only gives one way links but alsoa lot of traffic. I have done this before many times and I have great success.

I think article writting is one the best ways of getting a lot of back links though like everything in the SEO world you have to do a lot of it to really make a difference!!!!
If you write one article and think you are gain more traffic I think you are little misled!!
If you 20 articles and get them spreading around the net you will get a lot of traffic!! More is always better in the SEO world!!!!!
