- blog is a web site but it is more easy to promote blog than static web site.
- blog can give you links and traffic, try to do your work correctly and you will get result.
At the not all people will succeed with blog just persons that give this blog time and effort to rank well.

* comments other blogs
* use social bookmarking
and there amny others techniques that will help you to increase you blog ranking.

to rank well links and anchr text
content is for human purpose.
it is more interested to get your content because no one at this moment can confirm the problem of dulpicate content. to avoid any problem it is better to your content.
