Keywords?

Hi,

One quick question,

Which is the best keyword and why?

Keyword = web design
allintitle = 12,700,000
Selector Tool = 284324
google results = 993,000,000
OR
Keyword = web design company
allintitle = 259,000
Selector Tool = 9674
google results = 329,000,000

web design company has a lot less on all of the results, but only 9674 typed that keyword in. is this still the better keyword?

Is there a better way of measuring the results?

I think you target first the web design company. If your site is new and need to rank first. You must start on keyword that has lower searches for that keyword. Then if you already rank for that keyword you can target the higher searches keyword. You can target a 5 minor and 5 major keyword per page.

IMO better to target Web Design Company first...less competition higher possibility to go way up...and another thing your another keyword is already included there....so better start with keywords that have less competition and when your successful with it go and turn to your major keywords with higher competition atleast you already ranked with some of your keywords...right?

Those keywords are both competitive, . those keywords really need time, ( consider if your site is new) quality and good backlinks, good content will help.

I also recommended to use this keywords "web design company"

^ Yes, you're right.. and also try to target keywords that best describes your site for you to have quality traffic..

well link building is the best way to get ranked on your desired keywords...
