I am working on an Indian Portal – www.indyapulse.com . I need some suggestions for Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Link Building, Directory Submission and Marketing for the site. Anybody can help me how to start for it.

take time for your site's inpage optimization...optimize your site for your targeted keywords...check your title, meta tags, alt tags, contents, etc...while on link building submit your site through directories, join forums, blogs, article submission, link baiting, link echange....publicize your site for you to gain more traffic and sales....try to expend some for ppc or the likes and see how it works...

Well Selfie12 has said most of them.I will just make them in order to help you understand better.Firstly, ensure that your site is SEO optimized. for that, you need some higher ranking SEO services. Submit your website on to Website Directories with Page Ranking 6-10.Get your site listed on the DMOZ Directory.This will enourmously help your site to get higher PR,good inbound links, more traffic and higher reputation.Write good and quality articles/blogs reagarding you site or anything related to you site and also sumbit them in Good directories.Submission of Press Releases is another great option. try all these and stick to it,and you will end up with good results at your DOOR

1. First you may want to fix the errors on the site, especially class fields, you can surprise people with this:

2. Your page missing <!DOCTYPE value.

3. Code is not very clean, therefore it's much harder for crawlers to parse it. Move styles to CSS files.

4. Your chosen domain name "indyapulse" does not match word "India", which will make it harder to promote.

5. Your page title does not have exact word "India", look yourself:
"Indian News Portal, Classifieds, Yellow Pages, Astrology, Real Estate - IndyaPulse.com"

6. Your home page contains 1 word "India", increase it to 5-10!

7. God help you with other stuff.

First to do is to optimize your site, look for your targeted keywords, the keywords must be related , keyword density, then add this keywords in the
meta tags with your description and title, then submit to the major search engine, then to free directory submission, promote your site through classified ads, forum posting with your signature, article writing (related to your site), press release, blogs and social bookmarking. - you can promote your web site by many ways and I think that offline promotion will help you to get traffic to your web site according to your niche market.
- exchange links at linkmetro.com
- write articles
- use ezine marketing
- op-ed article.
- video marketing
