A successfull web site :)

Hello friends,

I have been monitoring some activity on my site for 2 months and want to share something that I've discovered.

1. I've been 100% confident that I'm using correct META TAGS on my web site - but when I was about to submit to DMOZ, I've checked it with: http://www.sitereportcard.com/ - it showed me broken links and said that web site had NO meta tags!? I used their tools to generate correct meta tags, strongly recommend for everyone to check your web sites with this link!

2. I've learned, that by having quality content on a web site, that may be also useful to others may help a lot - I've wrote a couple of articles about programming and SEO, and after 1 week, when google indexed them, some of them appeared in top 10 among 37 mln. results by only 2 keywords form page title.

3. Since I published these articles, crawl rate increased from 4 to 15 pages per day. Google updated page titles the very same day I've changed them. Before that, I had to wait a month or so. Traffic increased by 20 unique visits + 200 page views per day on these 4 articles only!

Conclusion: If you have low traffic, try to add some useful content on your site which is unique in it's own way......and share your experience with us on this forum

keep your web site update it all the time with quality content and have patience, also use one way links.....

Yep, that's what I meant to say - a quality content, unique and interesting.
By the way, I did not know what "one way links" mean before your reply, thanks. I'm more a developer than SEO...

yah interesting and informative articles can really help.. and about tools online, some of it are not that accurate they justs give some suggestions..

for me, its more interesting to read some articles if it is not that too long... it could be boring to read an long article.. i just want it straight to the point..

to toinkzzz: Thanks, I know short articles are good, but I had to make a point with strong arguments and write so others would understand it too
In addition to this post: Google also gave me an option to set crawl speed to FASTER in Google Sitemaps! I don't know if this connected, but I guess it is!

REALLY?! you're lucky man! Usually,, Google'sRecommended crawl rate speed is at Normal Speed.. do you have any improvements or advantages using it?
