PR: inbound links and outbound links

I find it tough to earn inbound links. What if I just pepper my site with outbound links to related sites, would Google like that, or would Google give me a beating?

I think outbound links will not affect your PR, it only make your site more relevant to topic of sites you usually link to, the inboound link with high PR is going to help you in better way.

Any suggestion?

you can have out bound link as many as you want google will do nothing to your but you will have no page rank. Page rank depends on your inbound links. You can read this article about page rank, might help you .

yeah...you will actually help those sites you link to but it will not help for you to have your own PR...

many Outbound links has nothing to do with your site.. You will just link them and you become a backlinks of them.....
Unless you reciprocate with the OBL... Then that's you will have plenty of backlinks....

much better if you update your site regularly.. put fresh contents rather than do OBLinking... that would be helpful to have good PR even if you dont have much inbound links...

Get more inbound link for your site. Yes you are right, inbound link with high PR is going to help you in better way but you need to consider also that your link must be related to your site. You need to check relevancy and quality of the links

Actually, there are lots of ways to get quality inbound links. One of the best is to write an article about your site. You can also trade links with other RELATED sites. Just bear in mind that in link building, quality supersedes quantity...
