Hi guys,
Here's the story: I was chewing my gum and waiting for a new created web page to appear in Google results, but somehow "site:www.mysite.com" did not return that page among many returned, so I spit my gum away and took it seriously. After 1 min of chewing another gum, I used "site:www.mysite.com/mypage.html" and what did I see??? Wholia, the page as I suspected went into "Supplemental Index". So, moral of this story: Chewing gums is not good for your stomach and also "site:" operator can be used not only on entire web site, but on particular page!!! Hope this will be useful for someone, |

Sounds good alex, but after reading your post I think there's one question that you left unanswered. Matter of fact, some might say you left out the most important part...
What kind of gum are you talking about? |

Hahaha,
I start to notice really strange things about Google and new released web pages. Yesterday my page was in Supplemental Index, today It's back to normal search. More than that, I've noticed that Google Sitemaps updated all internal and internal links report today ( after 7+ months of delay ), which happens once in millennium I have a theory, that Google treats new web sites with caution and even small mistake in your page title or contents will trigger Supplemental Result !!! But it may get this page out of there when someone links to it or they'll decide that this page is ok to be shown to public. What do you think? Last edited by alex-party; 06-15-2007 at 02:42 AM. |
