Thumbs up How much time is required?

Thanks for the SEO tutorials and the information about SEO.

Now I curious about how much time is required:
- for a new website to get listed in Google, Yahoo, MSN etc
- to get rank at top 100
- to get rank at top 10
- to get #1 rank

Then at the last but not least:
Any thoughts on how much time a webmaster using SEO it needs to invest to protect his ranking once it is established?

Yes, I agree, but usually a new web site get listed in sers in a 1+- week.
- To get to top 100/10/1 ? It can take you forever if a web site is a piece of crap or it can get there within 4 months on next PR update if people find it useful and bookmark it or your site will have many backlinks.

I have to agree from them.. As long as you have quality content,, you can get as many natural backlinks as you can... with or without your notice...

One good step is find out who is linking to you competition. If they are listed on alot of relevant content sites then I would contact the admin of that site

Get listed, Get noticed, Get ranked!

try this

- for a new website to get listed in Google, Yahoo, MSN etc
==> more the backlinks , fater it is ( 1/2 weeks)
- to get rank at top 100==> more content better it is. usually a web site with more then 200 pages
- to get rank at top 10==> depends on how good webmaster you are
- to get #1 rank ==>lot of money, time, energy, seo

Depends on quality links that the site have...

The more quality link sites the faster to get listed in Google

In yahoo, depends on quality contents.... because yahoo focuses more weight on keyword density (quality contents)....

it really depends on what you're going to do with your site.. if you start gaining backlinks and do some link building and consistently doing directory submission i think in 1 month or less your site will be indexed.

Hmmm, sometimes you can be indexed in a matter of days even without link building.
