AdWords is Google's flagship advertising product and main source of revenue. AdWords offers pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, and site-targeted advertising for both text and banner ads.

Google Analytics (GA) is a free service offered by Google that generates detailed statistics about the visitors to a website. Its main highlight is that a webmaster can optimize their AdWords advertisement and marketing campaigns through the use of GA's analysis of where the visitors came from, how long they stayed on the website and their geographical position.

adwords is an advertisement that can help you get sales and visitors as your ad will be place on the right side of SERPs but you will have to spend some money with it as it is a pay per click...

analytics will show you the status of you sites...from its traffic, conversion, and referrals..

Google Adwords - Pay per click engine used by Google that is found above the SERPs that once clicked, the owner of the website pays a small amount. This is very helpful in building traffic.

Google Analytics - A tool used by Google to measure traffic of your site and where it came from.
