Blog is really important to your site, it can boost your traffic and helps promote your site. In fact some of my seo friends created two or three blogs for their site, through these you can boost your site more compare to other seo!

yes for site promotion,.. blogging is important for SEO in the sense that in this way instead of writing an articles and publish it one by one in some article directories you can now use blogs for writing an articles also...
