How quickly does the google find out links from forums?

hi everyone,
i have a link to my site from this forum. so i want to know how quickly the google comes to know about this? and show the links after i type "link:www.mydomain.com" in the search? is it also related to the google crawl rate? depends on when the page(where i have put my link) is crawled?

yup it depends on how often spiders crawl a forum..

in my exp .
within 24 hour after put anchor link to this forum (in signature) .
and get index with in 3-4 days

every time google index your website it will find out. You can track it by using the "webmaster tools" in you google account. More you have better for you.

The Another Factor is up to how many link to your site in this forum because if you have too many post (not spam post) in this forum , it is better for your site (by google bot will visiting yours site very very quickly)
