Dear friends,

i just want to know , what is the major difference or what is the difference between SEO and SEM ?

SEO - it's the process of improving the on page features of a site so that it will rank higher in SE using keywords..

SEM - promoting your website in different ways that get it noticed by the SE's.. it is more than improving your site through SEO it also imcludes Pay per Click, Pay for Inclusion, traditional ads..

in my opinion i think
seo is sub set of SEM.
SEM is univerese .

seo <-- about optimize only search engine for good ranking.

As already stated, SEO is a subset of a broader marketing strategy.

SEO is under SEM. Search engine marketing consist of 4 parts:
SEO, PPC, Paid inclusion, and SMO
