SMO (Social media optimization) is a set of methods for generating publicity through social media, online communities and community websites. Methods of SMO include adding RRS feeds, adding a "Digg This" button, blogging and incorporating third party community functionalities like Flickr photo slides and galleries or You Tube videos. Social media optimization is a form of search engine marleting.

Smo can help to increase traffic too, somebody told me that it works with her blog when she applied it. Unfortunately I haven't try this yet but very soon I will...

I think it is true because Social media like youtube the more people the more chance of driving traffic to your site.

I think it should work for search engine optimization (if you leave a signature with link to your URL). But SMO (Social media optimization) is not the way to get direct traffic from video services such as You Tube.

I've realized now that video submission is
not SEO, it is Internet marketing.

Web sites like Youtube, Google Video, etc., with high PR, are
very good for SEO (if you post a video, and you add your
keywords, and someone searches for them, your video should
appear in the first three pages, or so, and thus people would
hear easily about me).

Of course you can use SEO for your video, in order for it to be
indexed better by search engines, but this depends on the web
sites that are hosting your video. I've heard that some of them
use nofollow in their source code.

I will make a video in collaboration with a marketing company.

I agree with you and think that if the video is good will bring
traffic to Cratima Interactive web site regardless it is well
indexed by Google, Yahoo, etc.... or not.

People will promote it better than spiders.

I've never seen a 3D avatar person before. I think the graphic resources for such thing are very important. I'm really curious if this thing works, because many people consider web animations, flash, 3D, etc a kitsch (I don't know why?)

I saw some fake 3D avatars done in flash. In fact talking to a bot on a website is an idea that was implemented way back before 2000 and I'm surprised it didn't really caught on, because I always thought it was a cool thing to have, as a webmaster, a bot that can answer questions about your website.
