Sorry, what exactly are you asking? Long-tail just refers to more specific keywords.
Insurance - short tail Car insurance for over 25's - long tail

It's not the keyword that converts - it's your website. The keyword simply brings people to your site. If your site serves the purpose of the keyword, it'll convert. If you're targeting keywords that aren't relevant and serve a need that you can't fulfill, they won't convert.

Not really, no. Anchor text is the text that's used when you link out to another website.
Google search engine. <-- 'Google search engine' is the anchor text. Long-tail and short-tail keywords are just different types of keywords you can target. As per my example earlier, short-tail keywords are very broad, and long-tail keywords are very exact. Long-tail keywords convert much better as there's a much higher chance that the results will be relevant to the user.

Longtail keywords contain 3 and 4-keyword phrases that specify to what you are selling. Usually used by customer trying to be more specific to what they are really looking for.
example: instead of lindsay wagner used lindsay wagner bionic woman. As what I know long tail is just used for those not ranking yet. As it is much easier to rank for. |
