off page optimization include:

article submission
directory submission
forum posting
and creating and managing blogs

for me the off page optimization is more complicated and time consuming specially the effect will it take months before you notice, compare to on page optimization.

Yup, But off page is one of the reason why my keywords is on top of SERP.

Off page optimization has really great impact with regards to SERP...
But of course our pages should also be well optimized..

It is somewhat like blog promotion...It also brings you traffic to your blog by the use of Signature......
Most importantly you can learn from forums and gain companion...
