PAGERANK UPDATE: In progress

Just so you know, the PR update started last night around 12am PST. I hope everyone has had there hard work pay off.

Google has been actuating some dastardly practices like cheating their PageRank database to give themselves the prized PageRank number of 10 which is the maximum. The only site I know which comes close is microsoft.com, with a PageRank of 9. Maybe Google took bribes from Microsoft to increase their site's PageRank to 9.

Guess their hands are not so clean after all.

Actually, yahoo.com also gets a 10. But ebay.com inexplicably gets only an 8.

Personally, I don't think too highly of the PR system, but as long as people are placing more emphasis on it than it deserves, you may as well play along if you are to do business with them.

I see that all of the sites I monitor have regressed back to the PR they had prior to the 4/22/05 update. At least this is what the toolbar is showing. Are others seeing this too?
