What I'm asking is about the Image alt-tag. Does an image alt tag is a source of traffic? Because ~Dark-Eye~ used the word source right!?

For the third time around,. alt is not a tag,. its an attribute,.
"Image Alt Tag"? hhm where did you got that,.?
Image Tag = <img> has an attribute of "src" and "alt" and so on

alt = attribute,.
two different thing,. don't make them as one,.

Sorry for that MADAM, my mistake and I mean it, I forgot to technically explain what I'm trying to say...
Yeah your right, Image is for Tags while Alt is for Attributes...
I'll be careful with this technical terms next time especially when you're around... LOL
But I honestly get some traffic by inserting keywords on the alt attribute of my image tags... Now that's technically explained... LOL

Hold it right there...
Are you sure! I think you are not inserting keywords on the alt attribute of your image tag...
Man, If you can only see my statcounter you will notice that a decent amount of traffic is coming from image searches with my targeted keywords that I put on my Image tags(alt)...
This is effective especially on Photo BLOGS because it is more on images than text ..
I think you haven't experience using it properly...

yes alt is an attribute of image tag,. attributes are added to those html tags,. tags may or may not have attribute,. Since alt is just added on the image tag so we can text or description there since SE can't read images

WRONG,. alt for the second time around is not a TAG rather an attribute,.
But you are correct on its use since SE can't read iamges

Don't confuse yourself with super Basic HTML.

No its not the same,.

tags can stand alone and attributes are just attached to those tags
Yup! It is not the same... But can you elaborate which are "image tag" or "image element" and "alt attribute" or "alt text".

Image Tag= used when you want to attach images through the use of "src"
attribute,.

ex.

<img src="image1.jpg">

Image Element = I don't know if there is image element or its just the same with attribute,. All I know is HTML Element

Alt Text= Alt attribute= added to image tag to add text to describe the image itself,.
