2 URLs pointing to one index page. Why does only one appear in the rankings?
Hello...
I maintain a website Irons Gay Golfing Society which used to appear at the top of the Google listings. Our old site was www.ironsgolf.co.uk . This has its DNS set to point directly at Irons Gay Golfing Society so that visitors who only have the old URL can still find us. For some reason, www.ironsgolf.co.uk has shot to the top of the Google listings while Irons Gay Golfing Society has disappeared (except for a couple of orphaned index frame pages which appear lower down). How can I keep www.ironsgolf.co.uk running but remove it from the Google listings and get Irons Gay Golfing Society back at the top? (I have no way of doing anything with www.ironsgolf.co.uk except alter the DNS.) Regards, Terry. |
