SEO help please

Hi,

I launched my site about 6 months go (its now got a PR3). I've done a little seo but not near enough, Ive got a few questions really as im about to start, here they are.

1. Do i need to spend alot of time creating backlinks, will this make a massive difference to my ranking in google?

2. People say meta tags dont work but you might as well do it anyway just incase. I have 48 pages do i need to do every page or just the main ones as google will follow the links to the other pages anyway?

3. I have alot of pictures on my site, should i add my keywords to the Alt tags? If so should i alternate the keywords for the pictures?

4. Do blogs and RSS feeds make a big difference as well?

5. Finally is there anything else i should do? I'm looking to get a PR5 and really bring my keywords to the first page of google (example keyword is task chairs)

my site is mix-match.biz

Thanks

Here's what I have to say about all these questions. I'll answer it in a short but direct manner...

1. Yes you should. Continuous link building from quality related sites is an important factor.

2. Meta tags are not valued that much. But some say that it worked well for them based on their experience.

3. Putting keywords on the Alt attribute of your image tag can help you gain traffic through image searches.

4. Blogs and RSS feeds really works well for site promotion.

5. Work hard + White HAT SEO + Learn through reading and experimenting + Time = YOUR GOAL.

Cheers...

There’s also article marketing: write good articles to increase your link popularity.
