Clearing Search History

Firefox 2.0.0.13 with Google toolbar: Can clear the search history, however, when I close Firefox and re-open it, the 'cleared' search history re-appears. Use to not be like this. Any clues on how to really clear the search history without it coming back on?

huh??? I'm using the same browser too but got no problem in it...
I can clear my search history easy...
Just by pressing clear search history at the drop down of search box in Google toolbar...

Have used Firefox for years and never had the problem with the google toolbar either. However, I do now. Do just like you and no search history. Close Firefox and when I re-open Firefox, there is the old search history again. That is why I am here.

Even tried to re-install Firefox. Same result.

try to re install it.

Uninstalled and reinstalled twice and same results. Never had this happen with other updates. Can clear it, but it returns when I reopen Firefox.

that's pretty new problem ive heard. i mean.. i used the same browser but i never encounter that.

Did you uncheck the remember history box in the options?

Thanks mudkipz, that did it. I guess I will have to type in all the forms everytime now, but at least the search history will not be clogged.

try to re install your firefox there is some thing wrong with your web browser.

You can opt to have Firefox remember your search form queries even if you make it clear your browsing history every time you close it. There are three options on the privacy tab of Firefox that lets you choose which part of your browsing you want it to save or erase.
