it should have some rules to implement to make it a quality online community.. just fair rules to keep the members happy and active

The success of a particular forum also depends on its forum members and moderators...
Forum members should have active contributions and posts should be related on topic...
Quality posting makes a lot of sense...
Moderators should also be active in participating and monitoring SPAM posts to maintain the quality of threads and the forum site as a whole...

Does anyone got hit...

Make sure that you know the topic that is being talked about. Do not join forums that you don't know much about.
