Are Pop-ups Important to SEO?

What are pop-ups? Pop-Ups are unexpected small windows that suddenly appear on your screen. When we access some websites, these websites opens up a new window to display some information, basically advertisements.One thing comes in my mind you should check this too, Are Pop-ups Important to SEO?

I think thats not ethical to SEO pop-ups.

because they force visitors to view their page even they don't...

Pop ups are not at all important from SEO point of view. If you want, you can add to ur site..if you dnt want..you can just stay away because most of the online visitors dnt like Pop-ups.

It all depends on the pop-up advertisement, if it is informative and related to what they are looking for then they might like it but if looks like a spam or something, they will definitely hate it!

Sometimes annoyed me...
Just for traffic they do that even they irritate visitors...
I think they are desperate...
But that's work many times....("

it's irritating and annoying esp. when you're doing something really important while they keep on popping out.. grr
