Keyword Density: Does this reality matter?

I'm just new in learning seo and I want to know if keyword density really matter? What will happen if a blog or website have too much keyword on it. Any advice how the proper use of keywords?

Hi,
Keyword Density algorithms will vary from engine to engine. What page text is indexed will also vary. But, fundamentally, if your keyword (or phrase) occurs 5 times in every 100 words viewed by an engine, your keyword density will be 5%.That is the means of Keyword Density& its matter so be prepared for this.

I understand that 2.5 to 5 percent is a good keyword density ratio.

Keyword Density - Keyword density refers to the ratio (percentage) of keywords contained within the total number of indexable words within a web page.

Keyword Density also known as keyword weight, measures the relationship of keywords to other text. The higher the percentage of keywords in relationship to other text, the better. The recommended density is 3-7%. This means that your keyword should repeat 3-7 times for every 100 words.

I guess KD also matters...but sometime due to our too much focus on it the contents sometime became misleading...I mean by pursuing to have the right KW density some thought of contents vanished...

These days, KW Density rule is not followed thoroughly and the "percentage thing" doesn't really matter now. You may set your own KW usage limit and just incorporate those terms in your content in a natural way - that'll be the proper usage of keywords.

A keyword density that is higher than 2% is seen by search engine as spamming.

what do you mean proper use of keywords?

when you're putting keywords to your site, target keywords should be at title tag, description, and content...

right there too much KWs is spamming so you need to balance the KWs...and that entailed the KD...
