Google Caching my site in reverse?

I'm having an odd and rather frustrating issue with my website. I had indexed my website a long time ago but only in the past month have I built my website and uploaded it. I was awaiting the Googlebot to crawl my newly built site, complete with an XML sitemap. I noticed the last time it crawled the site was when it was blank and said simply "Under Construction", which was on the 21st of November 2008. I uploaded my site on the 25th of November and awaited the next crawl. Unexpectedly, the date of the most recent crawl changed the other day to the 17th of November? Then yesterday it changed to the 12th of November and today it changed to the 20th of September 2008? I presume that Google is just looking for a cached page of my website but now my website "www.benginemedia.co.uk" isn't showing up on Google search results, just a link to a Javascript test script I ran a while back? I've deleted this now but I'm wondering how I can resolve this? Do I just have to wait until the googlebot crawls my website again? Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I'm really dissapointed about all this and was really looking forward to my new site getting crawled, etc.
