Search Query Mooching
Good morning,
I have a site that I went live with on 6/9/2005. Google indexed my site sometime before 7/14 (I only started checking a bit before then). I have 142 links on Google and a page rank of a big fat zero thus far. My site lists 450 products for review (aiming for 1,000 products). There is ONE particular item that is searched for via google, msn and others more than others -- 604 hits from google, 437 of which used key search terms. The key search terms are for an item which is in the 200's of my 450 current items. This item is only sold at two places in the world -- both have websites and I would expect them to be listed before mine in engines (mine is listed first depending on how the user spelled things). So my question is how to capitalize on this popularity without actually "stealing", if you will. Should I reanalyze my keywords, plop the item right on the main entry page permanently, use more text with these words or just keep doing what I'm doing (nothing much, really). Thanks! |
