Domain names and SEO

Hi all,

Is the age of a domain name still an important factor regarding SEO?

I dont know if we should classify it as important but there are factors in the age of a domain name which play a part in its seo.

Of course an aged domain name with previous black hat seo techniques done to it wont be as good as a new domain name.

But a cleanly seasoned aged domain name will do better then a brand new domain name.

Ok, regarding a brand new domain that has good content and clean SEO, how would this take to Google? Would it be sandboxed or could it gain good listings fairly quickly?

Domain name and its age are still contributing factors. An old domain name and the keyword rich domain can be good indicators for SEO purpose.

look for a domain name with keywords your tageting. this will greatly help you out when trying to rank for those terms

yes absolutely it is. if you have backlinks pointing to your money site with an older age and a better PR, the more valuable the link. Likewise if your site is older it will be given more preference over a younger site.
