Do links need to be permalinks for SERP benefits?
I was wondering if buying a link on a high quality, highly related site will have any benefit if it is do follow. I know it will help with rankings, but if it is a temporary link (say 3 months) then does it have any lasting benefit in terms of SERP? Or only permalinks are beneficial. This is not a link buying farm. they only sell off one other link and this is not advertised on thir site.
