If I search today, but the snapshot was taken a week ago, does the search engine read the website meta tags from today or last week?

Meta tags are HTML codes that are inserted into the header on a web page, after the title tag. In the context of search engine optimization, when people refer to meta tags, they are usually referring to the meta description tag and the meta keywords tag. The meta description tag and the meta keywords tag are not seen by users. Instead, these tags main purpose is providing meta document data to user agents, such as search engines. In addition to the well-known meta description and meta keywords tags, there are other useful meta tags, including the meta http-equiv tag, meta refresh tag, the meta robots tag, the meta copyright tag, and the meta author tag, etc. These tags are used to give web browsers and search engine spiders directions or data on various information.

I know this is not a good way to explain, but I will try to explain so that you understand.

If you search today, google will search for matches in "snapshot" version of your site. "Snapshot" is always older than your current website.

If you want to increase the speed of crawling "snapshotting" your website, you might try Google Webmasters Tools, that option usually appears for good/hight traffic websites.

Ebay for example pay "real big money" to google to index their site almost instantly, so Ebay "snapshot" updating in google eavey "lets say 1 minute", while for usual websites it may take days, weeks, months.......

I think there are no co-relation between meta tag with website snapshot.

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiii

Meta tag is part of any of the website when you make any of the website then need to select meta tag is truly heart like seo too ..

if you not select meta tag relevant with your website then really your site will sleeping down ..that the sure ..

Specially meta tag include in on page seo too
