Google Not Indexing

Google is not indexing this site, even after I've done some SEO work (inbound links, listed on directories, and posted to craigslist, etc). Anyone have any clues as to why this site would not get indexed? I am not a programmer type and without a clue.

Thanks for the replies. The site is newer but old enough to get indexed. I have about inbound 290 links, far enough to have Google index. This is one of 5 insurance websites I have and the other four were indexed quickly and easily by Google. It's a mystery why this one site has been left out in the cold. I've also submitted the URL to Google several times.

Can get alot more specific when you say I need to make more page optimization? I take it you checked my site out when you made that suggestion? I am open to opinions.

I've never had any problem getting sites indexed within 48 hours. I would post a link to an article that works for me like a charm but I'm not sure if I can post a link here so...

Search Google for the phrase below exactly (with the quotes)

"how to get indexed by google"

Look at the second result (it's the fifth result if you search without quotes). I've launched at least 10 sites in the last two weeks and the tips in that article got them all indexed within 48 hours.

Hello,

Your are doing nothing about SEO on your site and you don't get any back link. First you need to optimize your site then after submit it to google. After that start SEM work on your site.

Create sitemap for your website and submit it to google.

Whois lookup and Domain name search

put your site in here gives you an seo percentage for your ranking seo wise. I know its only something to compare to. Might give you more info to work with as to how much work you would need to do.

One thing nobody has mentioned is that you need quality original content to even get noticed by Google. It's not just Google, it's the networks of sites and blogs they monitor that can build you up.

Aspire towards the people who are already successful. Watch what they do and try to copy it.
