Re: Please rate my site related to web hosting

Hello geo,

I like the general layout, it is nice. Now, I assume you want real constructive criticisms, which is why you have posted this.

With that in mind, I don't know about the bar on the left side with all of the hosting plans listed. It feels like I have clicked into one of those sites that just displays more search results, each of which shows more search results... It is good for the customer to be able to find such a menu, but maybe it should be in a tab of it's own? (i.e. "Plans")

Also, the SEO tools link in your menu that takes the visitor away from your page, usually not a good idea. Oh, and the home tab is not a link - perhaps it could take them back to the main page?

Lastly, the bottom navigation is so far down, it is going to be ignored by the majority of your visitors. I would recommend making the main body change lengths based on the content. That will bring the bottom closer so that it is not just adding to the load time without use.

Sorry if this seemed a little harsh, but it is what I would want (assuming that the reviewer is just being honest, not mean). All in all, I do like the color scheme and the general layout. You have a nice concept working for you, and it's refreshing to see someone getting right to the point instead of adding a bunch of "fluff".

Feel free to contact me if you want to discuss any of these ideas or get tips on how to do it. Most of all, take it with a grain of salt. Ultimately, it is your site, and it should reflect you.

sorry geo, I didn't realize that the seo site that you link to is also your site. It is a great idea to link to your other services, but still not in the menu. When people click on the menu links, they expect to see another page on your site. Maybe the tab could have info about SEO services, and in that you would have several links into your SEO site - one for each service that you describe. Just a thought.
