Not an area I know a lot about. And maybe a question better asked in another of the forums (whichever seems the best fit), but I'm inclined to believe that it's a bit premature.

Not to keep harping on it, but you've got to develop some real content. I suggest that you peruse and participate in related groups, both on the web, and in Usenet. Post, and use a signature. Be careful though, in Usenet groups, to use a plain-text sig if that is appropriate to the group.

Be honest, and straightforward, in telling people you have a new forum, that you want people to build with you. A little at a time, you can start generating interest, and then have people want to come, to look at your content, and talk to new friends.

Above all, you don't want to create a false expectation, so that people are dissappointed when they visit the site.

Yeah, that's true. I'm just working on the forum, adding to it piece by piece and learning more on how to improve it as well.

Thats good , I see that you changed a lot of things around , to gaint members start the first posts and they will follow you .
my forums http://s3.invisionfree.com/sad_destiny was very empty but they are full now .

Sure does. Look at all those empty game forums. You've got to 'prime the pump' a little bit. Have yourself and your mods put a couple of posts in.
Post some polls.
Give the 'walk-in traffic' a reason to want to register to reply.

Just an idea the blue feeling (I mean the blue color scheme) somehow doesn't fit the profile of the movie.. I'd say red will be a batter choice..

As many FF fans as there are out there, including myself... I'm not going to go to a site that is only final fantasy to post about it. I want everything in a catagory to at least be on a website for games. Like do a whole website on gaming, or at least Sqaresoft games only but do not just have one game series for people to talk about. It's a clean looking site and very professional in its sleek design, it just needs more elbow-room when it comes to subjects. And come up with something other than General Discussion Area to name that... why not something funny or amuzing that relates a general area, like The Broom Closet or Monkey Forum or something. Just an idea for more originality.
