Help with content theft
I have a situation where my friends hired this individual to work deals for them because they were diagnosed with an illness (MS) that would eventaully put them in wheel chairs. They are twins. The shady individual stole from them and stole their content and is now competing with them.
Pretty sad stuff. He actually has started to rank on Google and has a really smug attitude. They have gone around the DMCA route and had him shut down with Godaddy. He just keep finding new hosts and putting the sites back up! Well he finally struck gold and found a host taht wont shut him down even though its clear he stole content. So now as he sits around putting numerous micellanous sites that make no sence and are pure spam. My dear friends have to go out and hire an attorney to have him shut down. Like they dont have enough problems with their illness. Can anyone out there |

content theft
That leaves anyone of us open to content theft. The interesting thing is theres always "the way back machine." Internet Archive It will prove that the content was put up way before the site of the individual who is violating the existing content ever existed. Its not so much proving that the content was stolen. Its actually getting someone to listen!
Any Google spam teamers on this forum?

Think of it on a brighter note. Just think of it as a complement.
There is NOTHING you can do from people taking and using your material online. You can go out of your way to take legal action but is it worth it? The only thing you can hope for is that google indexes you with that content before they index anyone else. Google will give the first site the credit for the content. So what you can do to insure you get the credit is build the rank of your site til google frequently indexes your site. Then let the content flow. The Net is the wild west. Dont expect justice. Just make the best of it. |
