mondine is an unknown quantity at this point
Nice job.
The look is quite stylish, and pleasant to look at; and overall, it seems to be a friendly, and well thought-out site.

Good site... just a few suggestions.

1) Integrate the google ads better. Consider making the background and table invisible... not only will this improve CTR (click through rates) but it will also make your site look better!

2) Your google ads in the header are fine, however, it would be best if you removed the buttons underneathe, it makes it more difficult to get to the real heart of your forum, the actual forums.

3) Consider getting customized buttons or using larger/bolded text for the horizontal menu on top to make it more visible.

4) Consider losing the pop-up, although it is an absolutely great way to motivate guests to sign up, it is a little too classic-addy to be well recieved by most web-surfers. A better alternative would be a "welcome panel" that only displays for guests that have not yet registered, much like the one here on these forums.

Other than that you have done a good job, and seem to be well on your way to creating a high quality forum out of phpbb.
