How do I find out my orkut username?

Hello.
I recently joined orkut, so I always log in with my google account. But I want to know my orkut username, in case I decide to migrate the orkut account to another google account. Well, I just wanna know my orkut username...

Okay, forgive me if we get the obvious out of the way, first.
When you joined Orkut, did you use a Gmail account?
Did you make a point of selecting a name different to that of your Gmail or Google account?

Anyway, you should just be able to look at your own profile, after you've logged in, and change or edit it if you wish.

Hi. I received my orkut invite in my gmail email.
I always logged in orkut with my gmail/google account.
I'm asking that because my orkut account got unlinked from my google/gmail account.
And to link again I need the so mysterious orkut username, that can't be an email address because there is a maximu lenght of characters.

And I'm also asking that because my orkut account is still there, I'm receiving the notifications from scraps, testimonies, messages etc in my gmail, but I can't access them nor can I turn the notifications off.

And also, I cannot be invited againd to orkut, in order to create a new orkut account, because orkut tells that there is already an orkut account with my email, LOL.... :'(....

What happens when you log into your Google account, and go to the account properties?
Does the Orkut option show up there, and are you able to access it?

Orkut does not show up there anymore.

Hmm. This is just weird.
Have you tried just using the part of your Gmail address before the "@", and trying the "forgot password" link?

Oh, and have you eliminated all browser problems- used a different computer,
deleted all google cookies and history, etc. (to use your googe account pass)?

Do you have an idea of what you might have made your username,
so that somebody can log in and search for you?

In the end, it might be easier to just get a new google/orkut account.

Hi "oioioi" and "mondine" I am facing the same problem, what was the solution? I have been using orkut for a while and it is so odd to create a new account now

Basically I had two orkut accounts, one for my yahoo ID and another for my gmail id. I receive a email from orkut saying link the yahoo orkut ID to gmail. The yahoo one was not used at all, infact i had forgot that I even created one out of my yahoo ID.

I went to the link and specified my same old gmail account to link the yahoo's orkut account. I was little in a hurry and this unlinked my old gamil orkut account

. I created a new gmail account and again linked the yaho''s orkut account to new gmail account. This account is fine, but then of no use to me. My old gmail's orkut is lost now and I am not able to login at all. fortunately I have a logged in session to this orkut from my firefox brower and I can edit the orkut profile and all. Fortunately no luck in linking back this orkut account to old gmail account.

Please help ....................
