India's the biggest democracy, anyway, so I don't think they'll block orkut.

It might be related to some anti-Indian communities being present on Orkut (but such communities are there against most of the countries) but I don't think its a good enough reason to block Orkut.

Indian government has done nothing like the Chinese government, where most of the websites are banned, and for that matter some other governments, in the past.

I think Indian government is quite liberal in this matter and I don't think that Orkut will be banned!

Australia, Russia (kind of), Canada, US, and Brazil are democracies, and are all bigger countries than India. Maybe I picked up what you were saying wrong.

Just thought I'd point out that according to The Economist, India is a flawed democracy. :P

I dunno why this is said, but India is called the world's largest democracy. Its not related to the size of the country. I think its more to do with the population. And, the people here have overthrown governments, but the government hasn't done much against the people, as kul_male said. Yet.
