Hacked Account

Today I found out that someone got into my account (possible hacked or cracked the password ), and screwed everything up, added about 1000 people, deleted a couple of my communities, etc.

Anyone else have this happen to them? Right now I'm trying to do damage control, but it's going to take a while, (first thing that was changed was the password to something harder).

Hm... It's hard to see people going all of that trouble just to trouble you... But eh, anything's possible... Try making your password harder to figure out the next time...

yea, I know. The strangest thing is that I'm surprised Orkut didn't jail the account for sending out so many friend requests (would have been a lot easier on me if they did jail it).

i feel sorry for you, it happend to me to, and it took me what, 5 weeks to finally fix the problems. you should change the passwork to like(for example) takemeouttotheballgame or 3strikesyourout. other thing work to, of course. OB1boy! . i use to use that on my aol account, till i got gmail. OB stands for O'Brien. in the millitary i had a friend, John O'Brien. they called him OB1. he's a boy. and i added an extra charactor to make it harder to guess.

hope you fix it all up!

I'm not even half way done removing the books marks and people from my friends list, Orkut keeps giving me Doughnut errors and login pages trying to get stuff removed

yea even my account got hacked i tried complain about it by making a new account..that person also hacked the email id i had it on...n now hes messing around with my reputation..this is really annoying i dont know wht to do..i made my friends report it bogus again again...but even that is not workin...wht am i suppose to do

is there anyway of gettin account terminated...its been hacked and i cant access it tht persons done alot of damage to my repuation......

wow I didn't now that could be done wow contact Google they can shut it down! countrybumkin
(If Google will do anything they normally send an automated message back. that really pi**es me off!)

There's so many people that take such peculiar interest in doing things just to see if they can do them.

I decided to limit my risk, and only use fairly-long passwords made up of random numbers and symbols in upper and lower case.

Naturally, you need a little help with this system. First, I make sure that I use a "Password Safe" program, that lets me keep a copy on a floppy. And then a keyboard shortcut program that can enter a block of text. So, for example, to sign into my Gmail account I can just press F1 + G.

Nice, simple and secure, when it's set up; and it can be done easily and well just using freeware.
