Google got spanked! (MSN's version of Orkut)

So I invited this person inside of Orkut and in turn he invited me inside MSN's version of Orkut called Wallop which at first looks dorky but once inside...it is a phenominal. I don't know how to describe it...okay I do...it uses flash for it's programming and if you have a blog you can view your friends feeds through it as well. You can customize your "realm" (I don't know how else to describe it) with music as people view your profile and stuff. So yeah...Orkut is a great place and it might be more popular...for now. But I have to give Microsoft some props...for the first time they have out done Google. Selah!

Actually, the programming is done with Actionscript, the interface is in flash ...They may or may not use Flash Communication Server, I can't say for certain. They probably use some Microsoft brand database.
I'm not impressed by Wallop...

The wallop is runing on Windows 2003 with IIS 6.0, and I think the database must should be SQL Server 2005.
The wallop amazed me at the first sight of it ,but it made my machine slowly, very slowly, until I closed all the wallop windows off.

So what... Every Company will copy another one's idea. Pepsi cola, coca cola, diet pepsi, diet coke, vanilla pepsi, vanilla coke... Pepsi edge, Coke Edge... The list goes on forever. From what i've seen Google and Micro$oft will battle this one out, but i hope Google wins.

orkut, wallop, friendster aggregator

the socnet market will be so segmented that we will need a trillian type client to keep all you socnet info and friends synced up as one...but a cold day in hell will happen before MS, Google and Friendster will agree on any standards I am sure...just a thought
