ORKUT IS FULLLLL OF PROBLEMS!

I was first of all reluctant to join because I didn't know what it is about. Then a friend sent me a request to join and I did. When I searched a few old friends, I found them on orkut. I was glad about it and was very happy to become a member. But when I tried to search my own self, my profile wouldn't turn up in the search results. Needless to say, all other friends that I now invited to join orkut, they joined and we all suffered from the picture (image not showing problem) problems. Then all of our profiles cannot be found when a search is made.

They say they are working on this issue, but it has been weeks..... orkut is no help or good for us any more. Should we cancel our accounts? Despite of contacting [email]help@orkut.com[/url] several times and also filling out their contact form provided on prkut website.... their generic reply comes back. So its like there's nobody on the other end.

Has anyone else faced this problem? It is listed in their errors/bugs list though.

This is the problem with a beta product, I guess. Not everything works good yet. Although I must say I haven't had that issue. Since it is listed in their error/bug list they are aware of the problem and probably will fix it over time. The only question is: when will they fix it? We can't know if they are currently working on the situation, so we couldn't know if it's going to be fixed soon.

funny thing is like 70% of the poeple are from brazil ... which is really weird ... when you search, they come up ... i guess it's pretty cool that for once the us doesn't rule these places, but at the same time, it makes it kind of weird ...

It is a beta I think bugs/problems can be expected heh.

I personally would love to get in and test it out. Testing and bug reports could only make it better

everything is in beta forever ... orkut has been in beta forever ... beta is no excuse ... gmail works pretty reliably ... most of their other things in beta are pretty good ... otherwise they stop service (web accelerator) ... if you could figure out how to invite people, how those things work and everything, which they DON"T explain ... i could send you an invite ... i guess one thing i like is they put in a lot of info about people ... and it's dating friendly ... it's interesting ... it its very own way, but has too many problems / issues that it becomes super annoying !!!

and there are definitely people who hook up there, i think ...

it's an amazing website i think ... visit it ...

bad thing is that most people are currently in college there not alum ... so but there are grad students and stuff ...
