Orkut Login Problems

Okay, here is the ORIGINAL invitation, with a few XXXX's, of course:

Clicking it now, renders the aforementioned error, of course. The second invitation did not have this format at all. I think I'll ask him for one more time, brand new invite, I guess.

If this is any indication, it does look suspiciously like a cookie issue, yet I have cookies all allowed and even EXPLICITLY allowed for google and orkut, oddly enough.

So, they're not being cryptic about there being a cookie problem. But the question remains- what problem?

Disallowed? You seem to have covered this with enabling, general and specific.
Corrupt cookie? Doesn't seem likely, as you've dumped them a few times, and tried different browsers.

One possibility is that there was a problem with your original sign-up. An error with the password being registered, or similar. I know that the every time I log in, there's an apology on the page for ongoing problems they're trying to resolve... so may have been entirely on their end.

What troubles, me, though, is that a corrupted account may be now irrevokably associated with the Gmail address that you used, and the possibility that you won't be able to use that address even for a 'fresh' invitation, without the aid of an Orkut administrator.

Yep. This is the primary issue that comes to light in this case study, to my mind. It won't serve Orkut well to tell folks, "you need to get an entirely new email address only for use on this service" in the event that something goes wacky during sign-up. There needs to be a way to reset a botched invite; regardless of the source of the botch.

Thanks for all the help. I'll be here if anyone ever comes up with a botch fix for my account. If not, I guess I'll have to find some other sense of purpose in life.

Now I solve the problem while I remember I was invited before and already created an Orkut account, I found out my password and re-login there.

And I jumped through all the hoops as well! I posted this on an older thread but there was better/more directed information here.

I use the same acc here as I do there, and I can't login, just gives me error and boots me back out.

I've gone the forums that have solutions for this (the orkut help said: Reset your cookies, they aren't like doughnuts and orkut doesn't like them) and they seemed to do a whole lot of nothing.

After several solution attempts I contacted orkut at the lovely .py scripted page. They have not rebutted, but I think something has to do with the maintenance on their site.

We'll see what happens, PLEASE fix the login problem.

I cant Login at www.orkut.com when i Type my User name and password The Box just loads and after sum time the box of that Login and Password is Clear !!! i have done all those setting Enable Cache... Allow Orkut.com and i m using IE:

I don't want to sound like a cliche or anything, but I was wondering if someone could send me an invite to Orkut. I've been trying for months now to find someone to invite me, but haven't had any luck. If someone could help me out I would appreciate it. I don't understand why it's so difficult to get one or why others won't help people like me out. Oh well, thank you in advance if someone decides to help me out.
