Why Orkut is too slow???

Hi,I just recieved 1 invitation to join Orkut, and now I'm Artek user there..
I like it, but... it's too slow??? why???
too many people?...

Well I didn't quit... I just stopped using it. Once in a while I go back and check my messages.

I actually belong to the GoogleCommunity group there...

And I only have 3 friends

I noticed it was slow, but compared to hi-5 (http://www.hi-5.com) I think it's much better. I imagine that the speed will increase over time.

Yesterday was my first time on it, the had there server acting up like ever 2 min. It was not very fun. Hope they get it fixed soon.

Its probably just too many people trying to get on the service at the same time...a lot of websites have that, like Blogger or Livejournal...during peak times.
