The biggest fish that I've caught using a rod-n-reel was a nine and a half pounder , just under four kilo's. It was a drum fish, which I wouldn't eat unless I were starving! It is a smelly bottom dweller, much like a catfish, but I love to eat catfish though. Drum fish are so boney that you must cook them with a pressure cooker.

I know a few SERIOUS fisherman. One dude has cought fish bigger tahn him before. I went on the beach once and caught two sand sharks, it was cool. Then about 4 weeks ago, we went sea fishing and got a bunch of nice-sized striped bass! It was awesome. Dock fishing is great, but doesn't have very big fishies like sea fishing does! Thanks Paul

Yo! Bust a cap in that bird. J/K There are some real serious fishermen for sure, thats too much pressure for me, I'd much rather goof around with it. I like to get away for the purpose of leaving the city, telephones and televisions behind for a bit. A chance to recharge the mind, body and spirit you know. On second thought, maybe just take a laptop

Lol! I usually fish for catfish when I go. They have changed a lot of the rules now, but not long ago you get an old cain pole and go out to the lake without having a fishing license, but now I think you have to buy one even for that. I like to take a bucket of minnows sometimes or maybe shrimp, I know the catfish really like that 'stink bait' its a bloody looking you know. I'll usually take a rod-n-reel along and at least try to catch a bass, but after awhile of nibbles I'll move on to trying for other fish. Man, if they are bitting its a blast.. I'll come back all sun-burned and everything. My Dad is into it more seriously though. My Uncle builds boats, so really my whole family like to get out on the water. My parents live on a lake and so do I, but not the same one. The road I live on is called Lakeway
I have a fishermens tale for you Cat, what is this about fishing in your new jeans? You'll only ruin them want you? Are you fishing for the same thing we are...I bet your trying to catch boys. Oh, I see now. Your brother must accompany you as a chaperone, OK |
