Managing Click Thru's from email promo w/ Analytics
*Actually what we're looking for is a way to find out who actually opens our email promos with analytics. We'd like to know who's reading our content in addition to clicking on our links. brbr**The solution is actually built into analytics and documents well. it can be found at brbrhttp://www.google.com/support/analyt...275brbrbrHello All, we regularly send out email promos to our members. Typically these are html pages from our website and we would like to be able to use Google Analytics to see how the links within these email promos are followed coming back to our sites. Within Analytics there are the referrer sections but unfortunately the largest section of our results (~50%) is "other" and the top is google.com. brbrOptions we've considered include creating clone html pages for the links within the promos to link back to but then we'll have a bunch of duplicate pages on our site that we have to manage. Perhaps we could put something in the link to set the referrer to 'oursite_emailpromo_date' Do any of you have methods that you use to do this? I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks in advance!br
