Conversion Goal Question
Hi there,
I would like to set a conversion goal for the following scenario: 1. Visitor arrives at our website. 2. Visitor clicks on a purchase which directs them to our main website. //So far so good. 3. Visitor then completes app form which on submission directs them to a payment website. //We have no control over the coding on this site. 4. On confirmation that the payment has gone through, they are re- directed to a thankyou page back on the main site. //We have access to coding here. Is it possible to still succesfully track a conversion goal with the above even though we can not put GA code into every step up until the thankyou page? Thanks in advance! Will |

Hi,
I said conversion. Conversion Goal - where GA records a visitor to the site completing a pre-defined goal. In this case where a visitor makes a purchase. The examples they use on there help pages are between 2 sites. First one being my website and the second my payment website. In my case it is a client coming to one of my sites then being sent to a 3rd party site to collect payment before returning back to my site. I am just wandering whether I can insert some code in the thankyou page that the client returns to after paying which will let GA aware a conversion goal has been succesfully made. Will |

If your site is having the facility of google analytics and you have placed urchin code on every page of your site already then you dont need to put any other code on your site. bt you have to et the field in google aalytics so that it can calculates your earning on the hits and give you the ratio of hits and earning. i hope you will get my point.
Set your analytics according the behaaviour of your site.
